I found the FLR form a lot simpler..even though you have to print 76 pages of it! Most of the paperwork "proofs" from the fiancée visa are not needed....just your income and bank statements.

Take my word for it, the FLR(M) is easy compared with the initial visa, you will already have the majority of evidence you require from the first visa.

Add marriage certificate, NHS payment and update the bank statements and payslips and you're about done.

    Aye it is much easier!
    Just did the BRP.
By the way. ..I did not use nor put anything on Section 8B of the FLR (M)..did you guys?I was 're -reading my copies and noticed it says use that page in case you have things to highlight and have not included in the application.
I found my application straight forward ..that's why I just left it blank.
I just use the page for financial requirement to highlight some proofs.

Timmers I know you have plenty of experience in Northern Ireland, I don't suppose you would know where to apply for FLR here? Or even a link to look up local offices?

    Take a look at the link below, its for the Premium Service in Belfast;

    https://www.gov.uk/ukvi-premium-service-centres/find-a-premium-service-centre

I'm guessing that if you submit a postal application then you will send it to the UKVI in Durham as NI is part of the UK.

Yes, same day service that you cannot beat, an extra few hundred quid for the same day decision but who cares about money :)

If any one of us on BF worried about money then we wouldn't have bothered trying to bring our loved ones here to the UK .. 500quid in the grand scheme of things is like a drop of piss in the ocean .. I know everyone on BF would gladly pay the extra 500quid ..

One small thing has been bugging me .. The UKVI strongly recommends that applicants with any form of adverse immigration history do not use the priority visa service. This includes anyone who has previously been refused a visa for the UK etc etc etc .. Well we have been refused on our first attempt at our Fiance/settlement Visa so is this going to negatively affect our 2nd application which has just been lodged via the priority service?????? I dont have a clue why it should matter as they say they look at each visa application on its own merits with no bearing on previous applications .. Im seeing a wee bit of a contradiction in there .:mad::mad:

I think it matters just because it's best to do a postal application if there are likely to be any complications.

I don't think having a fiancee visa refused will matter. We were unsuccessful once but still did the first FLR in person no problem.

I think they are just trying to avoid any difficult applications being presented to them for on-the-day decisions.

As a matter of interest do the UKVI give you a reference number when your visa is declined, a number which you can put on the following application?

My wife was denied a visit visa a couple of times and we included them with the successful Fiancée visa application.

It does. You need to mention it in the application. It's also marked in the passport.

Yes there is a section about previous visas being declined in the online application, I did fill that out fully but I can't remember there being a column for a reference number .. I thought as soon as they start work on your application that everything previous is on hand at the touch of a button on their computer screens ..

Ours said: "I was refused a settlement fiancee visa by the British Consulate in Manila on 13/07/2012. Ref Nr Manila\774699."

It was filled in by the agency we used and I have copied it ever since. The ref number is written in her passport.

I think I'm just having the usual worries as I await a response from VFS .. we didn't try to hide anything as I declared the refusal of the 1st Visa and wrote the date of refusal .. I'm sure they won't stall on something like not including a reference number especially as I'm supremely confident about our 2nd application, I put blood, sweat and tears into it and I really don't think I could have improved on it .. so watch this space BFers and I'll let you know whatever the decision
