    Hello friends,

My first 2.5 years FLR(M) visa is coming to an end and I have some questions regarding the FLR(M) process involving my passport.

Firstly I'm planning to go back to the Philippines on May and I plan to acquire copies of my PSA marriage certificate, because I heard that I would need to have a copy for passport renewal with change of name. Please let me know if that's still the case.

DFA shows that passport renewal process is going to take 6 to 8 weeks. Does anybody know if the timeline is correct or are they experiencing delays in releasing new passports?

Lastly, if we proceed with the change of passport with new last name, will my FLR(M) application be affected?

    Hi @Daisy
Answer to your questions yes get your PSA and submit it
Passport delay we sent my wife's daughter for renewal from Liverpool outreach and got it back in 9 weeks!
Changing your passport will not affect your application at all.
    Good Luck

Apologies for piggy-backing on your Post @Daisy...

I'm just wondering - did you marry in the UK, or Philippines? I'm guessing the UK, as you mention "... first 2.5 years FLR(M) visa..."

My wife & I married in the UK.
We are not planning to return to the Philippines before the 5-year Visa (2.5 + 2.5, FLR(M) 1 & 2) is completed, so how do we get this PSA document?
I Posted a separate question recently, as my wife's Philippines passport expires February 2022 - long before the 5-year route is completed - & we want to get her a passport in her married Surname if only for ID purposes, not necessarily for travel. TIA

    Hello @UKDJ,

We went to the Philippines Embassy to report/register our marriage. Please see link for the website and it shows the requirements.

After it’s been process, I think you can place an order online to have your PSA certificate delivered overseas. Since I will be going back to the Philippines, I haven’t tested it but others can confirm or tell us otherwise. :)

I will certainly look into that option. As I said in this Post, we have the certified copy of our Report of Marriage from the Philippines Embassy in London, but that's all (we registered our marriage with the Philippines Embassy by post & got all our evidence documents back quite quickly, no problem). But nothing actually from the Philippines (PSA?) confirming that the marriage has been recorded there!

    Hi @UKDJ

I asked my sister to try to get my PSA certificate and I’m hoping its ready since it’s been over a year since I reported it.

Maybe try to ask your wife’s relatives to check it too? :)

UPDATE - I have hit a total brick wall with this...

The psaserbilis.com website requires certain information from the RoM via the DFA, but EVERY email address on the DFA website is rejected!!!

Is there an option I haven't thought of, other than getting my wife to call the DFA in Manila???

    2nd Update -
    ==========
I finally got a reply from a 'helpful' person at the Philippines Embassy in London. They offered to forward our certified RoM etc to the DFA...
