Hello everyone. I am planning to apply for my cit (hopefully) late this year. Was already researching on process, docs, etc. and just wondered if any of you have had the Trinity SELT test recently? It says that for the first phase, I/examinee will talk or discuss about a topic prepared by me. The problem is, I don't know what to talk about? LOL ... If you had this test, would you mind sharing the topic you discussed? Thanks.
My wife had to retake her English Language test, for Citizenship. Your description doesnt match hers. She was paired up with another Filipina and they both had to have short conversations on pre selected topics ( selected by the examiners). Like shopping and stuff like that.
When did she have hers? That's what it says on the SELT (Trinity) website.. which is what Home office would be using from now on (starting April 2015)..
About a year ago. I think the tests have changed, even since then. It wasnt a difficult test. I am sure you will find it easy.
Yeah, it has changed now. You can only do the Trinity SELT. For any of the others who are planning to apply for Citizenship and would need to take an English test, please see this link for the approved test providers: https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...g-for-uk-visa-approved-english-language-tests
We are in our 4th month of waiting for Citizenship..... A friend of my wifes took 6 months. She got it in June.
Hmmm I'm confused. The UKVI are suggesting a previous English can be used in an ongoing visa application http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...ses-not-valid-from-nov-2015.10999/#post-86720
There is a transition period for when the English test is taken. These tests can be used in a UK immigration application until 5th November 2015 only when they have been taken on or before 5th April 2015. If you took the English test after that, then you would have to do it with Trinity SELT in an accredited test centre I have indentified before. Here's the list of approved English test when applying during the transition period (which has now passed): https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...al_Approved_secure_English_language_tests.pdf
