ESOL Language Courses - Not Valid from Nov 2015

    So a previous passed English exam will suffice?

    • previously accepted by the Home Office in connection with another immigration application, eg entry clearance

    qualification may still be accepted as proof if it was previously accepted by the Home Office in connection with another immigration application, eg entry clearance.

    Yes that's how I see it. Which would be relevant for most of the applicants here on BF I would imagine. Thanks for the info. I did actually look for this information when the new ruling came in but couldn't find anything at that time. ;)

    That's correct. I entered without an English test because it wasn' required at that time and even when I applied for ILR, there was no proof of English requirement. That has changed on 28th October 2013. So now that I will be applying for Citizenship, the new rules state that I would have to submit proof of English (proficiency)... and that's another £150!
