Our posts crossed. But thanks for your inadvertent link to an excellent article by Simon Jenkins which led me to one by my old school friend Tim Congdon.

Tina was not making the usual parallel to Hitler; she was making quite a different one.

I must confess that I've not heard of Godwin's Law until you mentioned it but I did mean Jenkin's Law and gave you a link - to a piece by written by Simon Jenkins - so that you can familiarise yourself with it. Is there any similarity between the two?

It was not inadvertent, Andrew, definitely deliberate and, yes, it is an excellent article from which I have extracted a few quotes.

I am not sure that Jenkins' Law is really an improvement on the original.
