    Hopefully, my last contribution to this thread.

    I do respect your stance on this subject but in my opinion you are forgetting a very important fact, and the other guys can vouch for this, Filipinas do come with a lot of baggage, wether they are already here or still in Pinas.
    This baggage is called "Culture".....

    The only way, one is able to sort of understand the sense of the word, is to actually visit the country, and soak up the athmosphere, observe the way they live, admire the beauty of its varied islands, or be shocked by the sheer poverty that surrounds you and gets under your skin.
    And your intended mahal will not ever forget where she is from, her religion, her family, her Country.
    You don't know what it means to her, to leave the world she knows to be with the man she loves thousands of miles away, and you will never know, because she will never tell you, you will never see her cry because she doesn't want to be a burden and upset you, she will smile and suffer silently for her man.
    Yes, as I said,LDR can be an absolute nightmare, but if I had the choice, I would do it all over again, because my wife is also the best friend and confidante, I ever had. She is part of me.

    If you are not prepared to take the difficult way to begin learning about the culture of the person you are proposing to meet, then to me it only means that there is no seriousness in your quest, but you are only looking for fleeting relationships with no commitments of any sort

    Some people don't listen to the majority voices in a public forum.
