Well, good things are happening for a lot of people this week on British Filipino, great news

Thanks hopefully good news as these emails don't give any clue what the outcome is.

I agree, its about time the UKVI or VFS stated clearly on their emails whether or not the visa has been granted, just makes the last few days of the visa waiting game even more frustrating.

Hello Everyone, this is my first time posting , I hope I can put a few peoples minds at rest, I too got the same email.
"Your decision will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 working days unless you have been advised it will be returned by courier or have paid an additional courier fee."

I did a lot of searching on the internet and I found this out…….

To sum it up for you, it seems the most important part of the email is that, if it has a reference number in the email title you have been issued the visa, this reference number actually is your visa no!!!!!!!

For example
OFFICIAL: UK Visa Application: UKVI-Manila Visa Hub (Ref: XXXXXXX)


If you dont have the reference number or if you have the GWF number instead than Im afraid its a fail!!!!

THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE EMAIL FROM "MANILVisaInfo@fco.gov.uk"

I received a second email from VFS global which had the original GWF number.

Many people have verified this fact , and me too! We received our spouse visa
And yes the reference number matches the "VAF no" on the visa!

Its awful how they treat us , but I hope this helps someone!!!!!

I didnt avail the courier Anne, im planning to pick it up. After that i will attend a Cfo Seminar and get the sticker.... i was thinking my passport is going to be expired this 2016, do i need to renew it first before i leave??

The Subject is my Reference No.

Can you tell me what format?can you copy and paste it here? (you can replace any numbers with XXXXXXX if u wish )

I got that kind of Subject @jasonanderson,, hope what u observed will be true.... i got that reference no. That means i will be approved??.. ohhhh jasonanderson u will be an angel..... my Gosh... i cant explain what i feel right now.... My God this is it....

Relax!!! It looks like a pass!!!! I have researched this and I so far everyone with that format has received their visa! That reference number is actually your "VAF" number on the VISA!!!!!
