"The Daily Mail was guilty of publishing "absurd" and "entirely untrue" stories about Romanian and Bulgarian immigrants, a member of the government has said. Lord Wallace of Saltaire, a Lib Dem whip who speaks for the coalition in the Lords, was told by peers on Monday that ministers should be careful not to use inflammatory language when discussing ethnic minority groups. However he said the question would be better directed at "the editor of the Daily Mailmore than any minister in the current government", given that newspaper's coverage of the immigration debate." http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/201...ration-daily-mail-lord-wallace_n_4717229.html
A member of the government would be expected to say that............... Strange that only one paper got singled out, probably for being more vociferous than the others...
Yeah, some of the lies they tell aren't true Same could be said of all newspapers not just the tory biased ones.
They all make stuff up, but there is a difference with spinning a story a certain way and blatantly fabricating a story just to start some "debate".
Another Daily Mail Fan MP Jack Dromey accuses Daily Mail of 'dirty gutter journalism' "Labour MP Jack Dromey has accused the the Daily Mail newspaper of "dirty gutter journalism" over its reporting of what it says are historical links between him and a campaign group, the Paedophile Information Exchange. Mr Dromey and his wife, Labour's Deputy Leader Harriet Harman, were prominent figures in the National Council for Civil Liberties - the NCCL - in the 1970s - to which the PIE became affiliated. Speaking to the BBC's Political Correspondent Iain Watson, Mr Dromey said it was "not true" that he had failed to challenge the paedophile group." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-26401110
