It's going to be more and more of a problem here as the years go by too, people will feel forced towards buying electric vehicles but that makes little sense for someone in their mid 60s that does not do a lot of miles, the market for second hand cars will become more and more an older person's market as our carbon impact is less and keeping an old car running is less carbon intensive in the current environment that builing new electric vehicles from scratch, the carbon cost of the manufacture of old second hand vehicle is already sunk, low annual miles while keeping an old car alive is more efficient than building and buying a new electric vehicle but it's going to become harder and harder to keep old cars on the roads because of shortage of parts, also as electric vehicles gradually displace fossil fuels petrol will become more and mroe expensive, I think a shrinking second hand market is with us for the foreseeable future with it being mostly comprised of older people and I suspect that will result in higher second hand prices for any cars that are in good condition those in less good condition will end up scrapped as no one will want them. If you're wondering why I gave you [@oss] the "Winner" it's because the above is the longest sentence I've read, or would have read if I hadn't run out of breath...
