    See this US example http://www.philippineconsulatela.org/WEB MATERIALS/dual primer.pdf

Also I agree with Methergate the Phil embassy in the UK are confusing the child with the mother, a child does not lose Philippine citizenship when they acquire their second nationality, whereas a mother might have to renounce Philippine nationality on acquisition of UK citizenship but in that case the Philippine passport would be explicitly invalidated by having the corner cut off and that would be done by the Philippine embassy in London, this still would not affect the child's claim to Philippine citizenship.

So if they both travelled on Philippine passports and both passports are valid in terms of date then how would the Philippine authorities know about the child's dual nationality.

She most certainly can apply for a British Passport here, even a first Passport. As for the biometrics, that's all taken from the photos you provide which must conform to the guidelines. There is no fingerprinting or iris scans: they would have been required for the UK ID card which was scrapped.

Ive read this thread 2 times now and I have a brain ache!!
So... Your "bird" became a British citizen or not?
Normally, once they get British citizenship they then go to the Brit embassy or any Filipino notary public and reacquire their Filipino citizenship, thus becoming Dual citizens.. Then her AND her British kids can have 2 passports..
It seems too simple though...Perhaps I have misunderstood something due to this brain ache of mine!!
    Sorry!

Hi! I was wondering if you found this documented anywhere? I agree with this, but would love to find actual Philippine government documentation for this.
