She will need visit visas for the kids also I think chaperone flights have a lower age limit of 12.

I sent my son 'unaccompanied' from the Phils to UK when he was 9 years old. British passport holder though.

Check with the airline . Also look on the Phils govt websites.

Filipino minors need to get clearance from the Dept of Welfare in the Phils... and as far as I'm aware, be accompanied by an authorised parent or guardian. That was the case for my two Filipino stepchildren anyway...back in the 90s . Visas definitely required.

Miss R was quite underwhelmed with the Manchester Barrio Fiesta last weekend. It had a lot of technical issues and wasn't brilliantly executed (I know, it's free....I shouldn't complain).

However, her eyes lit up at the mention of Jason Abalos. Never heard of him before, but I assume he's a big deal.

Looks like I'm off to Birmingham next week, even though it *might* clash with England's world cup fixture (wishful thinking).

    Hi to all....

I'll be there, Saturday, and depending how much fun I have, possibly Sunday also. This will be my second time, though I did got to the one in Manchester but it was very quiet (apart from the PA System (which was very loud).
Be good to be around some lovely people and climatize myself for my trip to Phil, hopefully this year
Looking forward to trying some traditional food
    Rgds,
    Gino

We were all set up to go, but I was too tired and upset after driving to Aberdeen and back in 2 days. There will be others.
