Nice story BBJ There's quite few Filipino grocery shops along Kilburn High Road. Quite a few dodgy pubs too Just a couple of minutes from Kilburn underground station There a reasonable good pub/resto too called The Brondes Age. Quite good during the summer months and only a few minutes from Kilburn underground station
Yeah, when I first came to London I lived just off the Kilburn High Road ("West Hampstead" if I wanted to impress some young lady ! ). Initially rather shocked that the favourite records on the jukebox were The Boys of the Old Brigade, and Four Green Fields, and guys used to rattle collection tins in front of you for "the boys back home". ... but getting back on track..... The Waterboys

I downloaded a Corrs album for Mrs Ash last night. She was familiar with them and knew their songs. She didn't know they were not American LOL Heres another.
I wonder if any of you ever heard this wonderful old band I first saw them at the Glasgow Apollo in the late 70's, always loved them.
