This time I'll be there for a month so that should hopefully give me a good sense of 'life in the Phils'.???

I'm sure not every one will agree with me here (especially members that have not lived there for the long term only visiting from time to time) but spending one month there in PH will tell you very little? for sure you will have a good time, but it takes a very long time some years I would say to get the real sense of life there.

So much of what goes on there makes no sense? it really is the land of the stupid, someone here mentioned you can find well educated girls there, I'm sure there will be some, but if you do find one it is highly likely they will have a good job which gives them the security they need and therefore they will not be looking for Foreigners to provide this for them, I had a couple of GF's there both with College degrees I saw their certificates but both of them were really quite stupid, no better than a 16yr old School leaver from UK.

One time while I was opening a new Bank Account there with the Metro Bank they had me signing my name 7 times, they seem to overcomplicate everything there, even to shop in a large store there will be plenty of assistants there to help you, but if you need to ask a question of them, they never know the answer and have to go and ask the In-Charge, I would suggest staff training is rarely practised there?

Having dealt with some professionals there such as in Medical services and also Architects I have found even they are not all that good at their jobs, there may be a few exceptions to this but I can only talk as I find?

I lived there for 8yrs and was hands on building a house there, overall I would say I had a great time, but having some medical issues now that I am in my early 70's and past my sell by date, I have decided to return to UK knowing my life expectancy is more likely to be extended here.
