Congrats @one world. I am happy for you. You will be with your loved one very soon. I just received an email from MANILVisaInfo@fco.gov.uk that says "Your decision will be despatched shortly". I don't know what this means as it is an automated message. It's making me more nervous than ever. Today is friday so I'll be collecting my passport next week after 3working days.
Not that I am aware of. Most of the members who got the same message, received their visas. Though some will tell you not to be 100% complacent with that. I have also not known anyone (after me) who received the wording "your VISA will be despatched shortly".
I'm still nervous though coz I don't know what the decision is exactly until I collect my passport back.
I think the key words in the email, "your visa will be despatched shortly" says that you have been successful, good luck
It says "Your decision will be despatched shortly". It didn't mention the word visa. Is there any other msg that says the visa is denied? Or an email that will give someone a hint that it's denied?
I know this is a bit delayed but I enjoyed reading and might as well share what I can share. As to the question of 30 pairs of Shoes, my answer is a yes. I've been working for 10 years here in Cebu and yes gathered lots and lots of them. When I met my Brit bf two years ago he was surprised to know when we moved in to the city, I've got more luggages than him! He would tell me to wear this kind of shoes and my face somewhat complained and he would tell me -Don't say you've got none because you have more bloody shoes than Imelda Marcos! haha.. Before arriving in the UK in Dec 13 (Winter) he reminded me not to bring luggages and luggages of shoes, flip flops because it's winter and he gots Tilly long boots, trainers, and beach boots ready for me in the porch!!!
I fly out next friday and return in a week with a stopover in London. So relieved the long wait is over. Keep positive... and wish you the best. My wife had already obtained the CFO certificate prior to Visa application. So she went to VFS to collect passport and saw VISA inside, then immediately went straight to CFO to have sticker applied http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...nes-and-settlement-in-the-uk.9718/#post-68920
Thanks one world. I can't sleep properly knowing that the decision has been made and I have to wait for 3working days to find out the result. I'm thinking of going down to their office to collect my passport and docs this Jan28 instead of 29. I received the email Jan23. I availed of the SMS service yet I didn't receive any txt from VFS, I only got the email from UKVI.
I got the same wordings today from fco, vfs and teleservice. All in one day with the same content. Post your decision here @ HanLan if you are granted or refused. Hope its a positive outcome for us. I submitted 18 Dec, its the 41 calendar day today.
