Hello guys. Anybody here who has just recently applied for a visa? I am struggling with their visa form online as i cant proceed to the next step due to the sign declaration. Do i need to print it off and sign? i am looking forward to your inputs. Thanks in advance.
My wife applied ove 2 years ago and that is what she did i.e. the form was printed off then she signed it. See what others that have applied more recently have to say.
Yes. You print it, your wife sign's it then you pay online and then book an appointment by either emailing the visa centre or calling them. http://vfs-uk-ph.com/applicationcentre.html
You pay the cost of the visa at any Union Bank in the Philippines, Pay into VFS Holding account. She must take her passport with her to show the bank, Keep the receipt and send an email to VFS quoting the number when asking for an appointment.
Brock. I thought it had all changed. Payment by card now. "Paying your visa application fee You must pay your visa application fee online, in US dollars, either a Visa card or MasterCard. In addition to credit cards, a debit card or pre-paid card bearing the Visa or MasterCard logos are also accepted. Other methods of payment will not be accepted." http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/philippines/applying/?langname=UK English
It has changed for sure... Its paid online... My wife handed in her application on the 20th of December... Ohhh its a nervous situation....
My wife is now in Manila, her appointment is for tomorrow 15th. An email I received from VFS 4 days ago. Dear Mam/Sir Just for a point of clarification, you may apply free of charge for the visa fee but you will still have to pay Php 800.00 (any branch of union bank) for logistics and scheduling of your appointment. Also kindly send us the specific visa category you will be applying for, for the confirmation of your appointment. In order for us to book your appointment, please provide the following details. · Bank Sequence Number:,,,,,,,,, · Date of Payment:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Passport Number:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · First Name:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Middle Name,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Last Name:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Visa Category,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Date of Birth:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Date of Expiry:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Mobile Number:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Address,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Email Address,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, · Preferred date and time:,,,,,,,,,,
Maybe they changed the method (again) without telling anybody. This is straight off the UKBA website for Philippines: Paying your visa application fee "You must pay your visa application fee online, in US dollars, either a Visa card or MasterCard. In addition to credit cards, a debit card or pre-paid card bearing the Visa or MasterCard logos are also accepted. Other methods of payment will not be accepted." I know this was in force up till recently. Maybe they have changed things?
I tried to make an appointment online, But it wouldn't accept it, When my wife tried to pay at Union Bank, they wouldn't accept the 800peso she was told she had to pay by VFS, They wanted about 4000peso, My wife tried to explain to them that as she is married to a European she has no visa fee to pay, only 800 peso administration costs, It took 3 visits and several Phone calls to make them understand this.
She is applying for a short stay Tourist Schengen visa, All being well I am Hoping she will be in England within 6 weeks, will let you know then if all goes well.
Sorry, might not be in the loop here but if she is applying for a Schengen Visa then why is she dealing with the VFS for a UK visa??
Close Mark, Its the Netherlands, They were so much easier to deal with, They seemed to be the only ones who understood the rules and regulations.
So for Blithes benefit, yes, you will have to pay by the online method outlined by the UKBA on their website.
