He is a celebrity hypocrite as opposed to a common or garden hypocrite, they all use petrol, all go online, wear modern clothes, own cell-phones and leave as big a carbon footprint as the next man BUT they preach about it,thats what seperates us from them.

Extinction rebellions philosophy, in their own spokespersons words, is to disrupt everyday life :boxer: and they pay professional crusty hippies to do so

How true! The whole organisation is funded and supported by hypocrites. Somehow I can't see XR taking-off in China, Russia or India can you?

They actually admit, some of the hippies in London were paid, one of the guys on top of the train is described as a professional activist so I guess that's his employment. Russia, India, or China, well most of the hippies wouldn't be returning from a gulag or the black hole of calcutta for a long time :D

"Hippies?" I thought that some esteemed members here would have known that that particular movement died in the early 70's.

That was 50 years ago

    Ha!

This character - the self-styled Mr Brocolli (real name Roland Everson) - is a white van man and founder of a glamping business. His gas-guzzling Mercedes Benz Sprinter van pumps out about 2.7 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide every year - that's the same as a return flight from London to Sydney apparently.

Hypocrites the whole ruddy lot of them!

So you expect Mike to give up his job just to prove his green credentials? So does that make me a hypocrite as well, seeing as I drive a 19 plate Mercedes Sprinter for work?

It’ll be a long time yet when an electric truck or van can last all day on a single battery charge as well as being capable of travelling hundreds of miles a day long distance. But in meantime we can all do our bit to help save the environment by not taking unnecessary car journeys or eating less meat. Every little helps.
