Hey everyone..my wife and stepson are just about to go to the visa center in Manila and submit their applications. I was just wondering if anyone could give me the low down on the procedure there, or any hints or tips. Is it a straight forward procedure? I'd just like to let my wife know what to expect. I have booked two appointments, so they can submit their applications together. I tried to book them in the VIP lounge, but it didn't give me the option when i payed online. Can she pay the VIP when she gets there? Is there anywhere for them to relax and have a drink if they get there early, or does it strictly have to be 15 minutes before their appointments? Any advice i could pass on to give my wife peace of mind would be great! Thanks

We used the VIP Lounge option. But this was 3.5 years ago. At the time it was easy to book through them.

Part of the deal with the VIP lounge was a drink and a biscuit / cake.

Thanks..i already tried that, it let me select VIP, which i did, but when i made the payment for the visa it was for the standard. Ah well..it was for the personalized service that i wanted to get it for them, and it also includes courier service and sms text updates.

I seem to recall phoning them, is that still possible? IE phoning the number for the VIP service. Yes it was from the UK but it was just a quick call. They may have closed that option down?
