Would it help?

So my fiance is visiting for the next two weeks on a tourist visa, with the fiance visa as the next visa we apply for, my question is, would it help our visa application if we take the opportunity while she is visiting to buy the wedding rings, along with accompanying receipts and (if necessary) appointment to discuss and choose rings?

I've had a look through here and cant see anyone asking similar, apologies if they have and I am repeating a thread.

    Many thanks

    Ian

Depends on you. Some blogs I've seen they included invitation card (pasted in A4), wedding receipts, etc. What we did though was to be truthful in our cover letter. Since our wedding was very simple (no invitation card, wedding dress receipts, etc), my hubby wrote that we would be having a simple yet sacred ceremony with our families only so we don't have invitation cards, etc.

If I remember it correctly, your fiance is in Dubai right now right?

Close, she is in Abu Dhabi, but I want us to get the rings in the UK not the UAE so that we get known quality gold, with hallmark.

That's ok. You can buy it here. In your cover letter with signature (fiance visa app), just put there your real intention. I was from UAE too. No need to send her your original docs. Scanned copies are fine. My fiance visa has British Embassy Abu Dhabi stamp. That means the visa was issued by them. Only orig docs were my passport and certificate of employment. My ex-fiance (hubby now) just sent me his scanned docs.
