Television pictures showed Maradona celebrating Colombia's late equaliser and he was even seen wearing a Colombia shirt in a video of himself posted to Instagram with the words "we are all Colombia".

If you are talking about me then talk to me. I quickly get bored with Trump apologists so go find someone your own age to play with. Its bizarre you make such a comment in a football thread.

Can you please take your political disagreements and posturing back to the Politics section so that the rest of us are spared your partisan rants. You are quick to remind others that this topic is about (some weird sport called) football - and not Trump - whilst wilfully ignoring your own advice.

    Thank you. :)

But was their enjoyment ruined by some crazed drunk making crude allegations about an act allegedly being committed by a duly elected head of state?

I just read that 200,000 people have signed a petition calling for the match to be replayed , claiming there was no foul on Kane for the penalty , and the " goal" that they scored when there was the confusion of two balls being used , should have counted .

Meanwhile , ace cheat Maradona , is quoted as saying that England committed " monumental robbery " , and John Stones calls Colombia the dirtiest team he has ever played against .

Yes I read that. Must be some sort of precedent for a losing team country to petition FIFA to replay a match. Has it ever happened before?

Maradona is a car crash. Why anyone would want him as a paid ambassador is beyond me.

Well, yes, I agree with you, Max. But isn't that indicative of just how rotten this sport's governing body truly is. Good role models for today's youth they - and Maradona - most certainly are not.
