Yes we watched a little bit of it yesterday... the Swiss Girls are built like sherman tanks - couple of FilAms but all a bit light weight... My daughter was surprised to see girls doing the officiating too.... she's used to watching the PVL here where the Guys do all the managerial stuff
It's essentially US Women C Team. Not one of the starting 11 born in the Philippines. One unused sub was Filipino born. I know we are supposed to celebrate diversity and, for many of us, our children representing their mother's homeland would be something to be incredibly proud about. But when it is taken to extremes like this, I feel the American C Team has denied an opportunity to another country from the Asia qualifying region which would have included more native born players.
Thanks - dreadful to think they cannot find their own team back home - put it on for my daughter to see that, contrary to her mother's views, girls don't have to have long hair and where pretty pink dresses etc
