So now the UK has Wikileaks spokesman Julian Assange in custody for suspicion of sexual assault and various companies have stopped doing business with wikileaks (including Amazon and Paypal), what do you all think of this?

I remain skeptical over his charges, far easier to get rid of him and discredit him through these means than anything else.

And worse for the US and the companies who now disavow wikileaks is that over 500 mirror websites have gone up and paypal (and a few other sites who stopped working with wikileaks) have been attacked by "hacktivists"...

Somehow I think they made things worse by not just letting this blow ove like a bad press day with the Sun or the Mail:erm:

Normal american way of conducting business...
Sex charges are a stitch up, thought so all along, but the extent of what has been happening as evebn a swiss bank froze his money, is ridiculous, it clearly shows the yanks dead scared of something buried in them cables..... And they want a chat with Assange before it gets out....

Yeah I don't believe the charges either, it does leave you wondering, we accuse everyone else of poor respect for free speech and human rights, yet here we are trying to silence someone?

Wikileaks which has had a lot of infighting and a big split recently has stated they are holding back the juicy ones in case needed..

I dont think the yanks are worried about the other countries knowing what they get up to, im sure all the others are just as bad. Its letting the mug in the street know which is bugging them.
