Hi! What's traffic like in London during weekdays around 6 am in May? Especially from Waterloo to Gatwick Airport? Does anyone recommend a good airport taxi? Thanks.

    Traffic in London.............

At that time in the morning, I don't think there would be much trouble at all...

It would be cheaper allround, tho, if you took a morning train to Clapham and then another to Gatwick...

That is unless you have lots and lots of luggage, in which case a taxi would be more convenient.

I concur..... the train is the far, far, better option.
Both cheaper and a hell of a lot quicker.

The road from Gatwick - Croydon is reasonable ( and fast moving), but when you hit the A23, you'll think it'll be quicker to get out and walk !

So, get the train from Gatwick - Clapham Junction, then change (1 stop) to Waterloo
    or
get train from Gatwick - London Bridge, then change (1 stop) to Waterloo East (which is essentially Waterloo)

Both trains run about every 15-20 minutes.
