    Interesting to see what happens over there - at least in the UK we appear to be getting to grips with the deficit.

    We aren't and if the US defaults, even technically and for a short time, we will have even less chance of fixing our problems and then of course there is "peak oil", yet again, which will choke every recovery before it gets anywhere.

    oss, hang on try to smile. Always many worse off than we are in most aspects.
    One good thing is that China is probably the biggest creditor of USA and also Europe . (sorry just my biased thinking)
