    More questions:

My solicitor just signed one page of the photocopies of my passport - should he not have done each page?

If K does an on line application and prints it off does she still have to fill in form VF4 as well?

Solicitor signing the biometrics or adjoining page will be fine.

Once K has filled out and printed off the online form she can fill in the financial form for submission (Vaf4a2)

So she does not need to do VAF 4 just Appendix 2?

The VAF4 (personal details form) will have already been filled in online by K. The form VAF4 can be used for non online applications, that's why its still around.

So basically, K will be submitting the form (personal details) she filled out online and printed off along with the financial form (VAF4A2)

Thanks! And she needs to do another online form for her son? Do I do another VAF4 annex 2 for him as well?

I am pretty sure the forms K fills in will take into consideration any children that will be accompanying her to the UK, there are certainly lots of questions relating to any children who will be accompanying you on the application.

It would be good if someone here at BF could clarify that.

I have just discovered that you can't print off your online application form until you have paid the fee and booked an appointment.

So I will have to send the dossier to K by courier now and then send another courier after I have paid the fee and booked the appointment.

You're edging ever so closer now Andrew, not long now to the nervous waiting period once the visa has been submitted, enjoy :)

So far as I can see, the online applications having been completed signed and paid for an an appointment made, she then prints off te forms and adds them to the already very fat file of papers

I am just re-typing the index page now

Yes, you've got it in one, not long ago there was no online form, the online form has replaced the VAF4a which had to be filled in long hand, at least for this kind of visa.

We filled out an online form in 2011.

I think the person details form VAF4a is still used for other types of visas, it has not been updated since 2013 but still appears to be an integral document of the visa process.

I wonder what people do in countries where the internet is not readily available?

I'm going to Burkina Faso the week after next and there I think is the same. Thankfully I will have a connection at the hotel because my introductory letter for the visa has the name of the hotel where I'm stopping so I've been able to look it up.

We take the internet connection for granted here, and so we should, you know how annoying it is when you check into a hotel and they have a lousy connection.

No surprise there Andrew, I don't think they have much of anything except for lots of silly hair styles, and of course lots of mines between them and the south :D
