What can my wife take in her suitcases onto the plane?

I told her she can bring dried fish, and she said she wants to bring home salted fish in a bottle soaked in water.
In your experience what can you take in regards to food back home?

Nothing stinky that they will throw in the bin especially durian,Patis, bagoong etc. Bring lots of clothes, shoes, bags and if she use make up bring it too!
