For those of you who use Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome (and some derivative browsers) you just may be worried about a new IP leak that could be used to block you viewing sites or unmask your identity, even when you are using a VPN.

The fix for Mozilla Firefox is trivial but for anyone that needs a fix for the Chrome browser, just send me a PM.

Ach I only use VPN's for work or where the server is my own server Howerd, not sure anyone else here would be too worried about using a VPN the primary reason for most that would be doing so here, is to get streaming services when you are not in the UK, i.e. Now TV, Netflix, Amazon video etc.

Some others do use VPN, OSS. Aposhark uses Private Internet Access, which is the same VPN I use. I had to find a fix as, with a Chromebook, I am stuck with the Chrome Browser. Google may be pretty good on the security front but privacy is not their strong point!

You will know better than me about the risks of using a VPN in China. I just suggest that you read this...

EDITED due to release of new blocker today...

    1. Check using links below that your IP address leaks - and it will leak!
    2. Update to Chrome 41 (currently, you will have to switch to the beta channel to do this)
    3. Install: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/webrtc-stopper/mfehokchlmjlkmlgjhkmlpcldcbcooec
    4. Flush your browser cache: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
    5. Test that your real IP address is not leaking (see below for links)
    6. When Chrome 41 is released on stable channel, switch back to stable channel

    https://www.browserleaks.com/webrtc

And any other similar tests you can find on the internet!

Thanks for that Howerd. I'll get onto that later. BTW, I hope you are well and happy.
