Hi everyone hope you all are well, my wife has been here now for about 2.5 years and everything is going great. But the question I have is how do I extend her visa ( spouse visa) what do I need to do and where do I go to do it? Many thanks in advance

Your wife is at the FLR stage Further leave to remain this is for a further 2.5 years process pretty much the same as the spouse visa but a bit easier.
    Start point is here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apply-to-extend-your-stay-in-the-uk-form-flrfp

Hi did you go through a visa specialist or did you do it yourself? I went through a specialist from the Philippines to get my wife here.

lol... I'm still in the Philippines with my wife been here since we married!

    Probably stuck here now...

Anyway, sorry I was just implying I'm a bit of a numpty on it all too!

Luckily for you Mattecube and few of the other guys here are very knowledgeable about it all.

You need A2 and this will see you right through all further applications upto and including British Citizenship. You must do it and submit your pass certificate reference number on application

Need A2 as the minimum for extension visa. B1 is an alternative higher level which is needed for ILR and citizenship but doing now and using for extension means can use for ILR and citizenship.

It's A2 next or B2, B2 will take you all the way to BC but A2 will do but you will have to achieve B2 on ILR

    Good Luck

A2 is only good enough for extension. B1 is required for ILRand BC. B1 can be taken for extension and will then be excepted up to BS

Yes I corrected my typing error in a later post as I said and perhaps should of expanded on we used A1 to get wife and daughter the first visa and at FLR Stage both took and used B1 all the way through to successful BC IN 2022 wife and 2024 her daughter.
