there are instances where the test result can be older than 2 years taken outside the UK and still be valid.

Thnx for that can anyone here confirm they have used a B1 or equivilent for a FLR visa that was issued outside the U/K and more than two years old, i know what some of these people are like doing these visas after having a few rejected in the past. pretty sure you are correct Mattecube but would love to hear first hand someone who has done it.

I am of the same belief that the original test can still be used even if its over 2 years old, the whole point of my wife taking the B1 test was so that she can use it again for FLR and ILR.

in certain cases an expired A1 test result can be used after it has expired (refer to paragragh 32d in Appendix FM-SE family members specified evidence)

She took her B1 test here Malcolm https://www.idp.com/philippines/ielts/ielts-for-ukvi/ukvi-cebu/ the whole point of me suggesting to my wife was that it saved money in the long term by her not having to take another test, which she would have had to do had she only taken A1, she was reluctant to do the B1 in case she failed, but basically i made her do the B1 because i felt that her understanding and speaking of english was good enough for B1, which it was :D, there were other ladies at the test centre that had even better english than my wife but they did the A1.
People who have only taken the A1 will need to retest again..
