    Thanks Howerd.

How do you get to that page?

Never saw that before. Have now paid on that site and K has now got this, but she won't be able to print the receipt:

    quote:

    Dear Ms Corina Barnido Mag___,
Thank you for payment through VFS website.
Please print the attached online transaction receipt and carry the copy to the UK Visa Application Centre.

    Kind Regards,
    VFS Visa Application Center

I think you may be able to do that during VFS Global visit, but not entirely certain.

Hi Nickel, we finally worked out what happened. There is no category for "Fiancee Visa" but there are two categories for Marriage Visa. One is "Marriage Visit" which is a Visa for people who want to marry in Britain but who do not want to live here. There is also a category for Settlement-Marriage which is not mentioned in the guidance notes and appears in one of the drop down menus. We thought that was for Marriage Visit so we applied for Unmarried Partner. This was a mistake but a very easy one to make.

Consequently VFS asked for the IHS for both K and her son. It took several days to find out how to pay it and even longer to find out the mistake we had made. Eventually we got an email from "Manila Deferrals" saying that the IHS would be repaid and that the applicatioon was being re-categorised to "Settlement - Marriage" .

That was on the 11th August and we have not heard anything more but the refund was paid within three days.
