I am not a Brummie by any means, but for a weekend away the Gas Street area of Birmingham has something for everyone all within easy reach of the Canal, as an example their is Symphony Hall, Birmingham Rep, the Library and the many Bars and Restaurants in Broad Street, Sea Life Centre, The ICC all within a stones throw of each other and just a touch further The Mailbox shopping centre where its best to lock away your bank cards because it's tempting to overspend.
