AMOUNT INCOME IN LAST FINANCIAL YEAR IF SELF EMPLOYED question d and e put same what i earned in that year
I don't feel comfortable commenting on filling out the VAF4a2 financial form when applying as self employed/sole trader etc, You need to supply much more financial information than when a regular salaried person applies. Each self employed person will have slightly different sets of financial information to submit to satisfy the UKVI financial requirement. In a year or so I will possibly have to apply for our second FLR(M) as being a director of a limited company and I will cross that bridge when I come to it The best thing to do is to read the guidance notes at the bottom on the VAF4a2 form and in addition to read the notes I have attached below. Sooner you know what financial information to submit the sooner you can approach your accountant and ask him to help amassing the relevant documents. Just make sure you are very thorough when putting your financial documents together
Note that there are a couple of other forum members who may be able to give you some more pointers @ChoiAndJohn and @Maharg who have both applied as self employed, wait to see if they post.
@shaunilvs For question 1.28 I said I was supporting my wife in the Philippines but, like you, I was unsure if that is what the question was asking. Sorry, cannot answer your other questions.
On our form - which is over 2 years old now - the part about income from non employment was just left blank. We put nothing it there at all.
thanks guys i read it over and over and yeah i was sure needed to be left blank as states non employment sources so i will leave blank but just had make sure these forms seem simple until you go to each part and makes things confusing from part to part thanks for all replies without your help i would need plenty paracetamol and rum
