    Hi all,

I now have a new Filipina girlfriend. If in future use she likes to visit the UK on the visa application does she need to put her travel history? She hasn't been abroad before and I'm a bit worried about that. Does it matter is she hasn't been abroad before?
Hope everyone is all well here. :)

She will have to complete the Visa application form honestly and completely - even if the answer is "none" or "not applicable". Without any entry and exit stamps in her Passport from overseas travel, she will find it that much more difficult to obtain a Visa for Britain. I suggest you visit her.

My wife had never been abroad before when we applied. She'd never had a passport before and she got one purely for the reason of coming here. It makes no difference.

You'll need to have gone there and met her in person though.

The OP is asking about a Visitors' Visa, not a Settlement Visa. Somewhat of a difference!

So he is. Yeah, in that case I guess it is better if she can show she has travelled before and returned home again, although still not the be all and end all I'm sure.

Best option is to go Philiippines at first anyway. No visa requiered.

Might be better if she doesn't say she is coming to the UK to see you, not as many alarm bells will ring then.

The wife's sister and friend have just got a UK visitor visa to come and see us in March, they both have good jobs, live in Dubai and have travelled extensively.

As Markham mentioned, it must help if the applicant has a travel history.

If you have not been to the Philippines yet I would certainly go to visit her there.
