I watched The Martian last night. Even I'm still not feeling too well I found it to be addictive watching, exciting, interesting and funny. I like Matt Damon's workand though he did a great job with this. I'm a big fan of Ridley Scott. No surprises I give 9/10 If you haven't taken the opportunity to watch it so far then do so
It only came out in 2015 so it may well be a 50 peso copy unless Peter seen it in the cinema. Good film though.
Probably different in Davao but in Manila this time of year all you get is the Filipino movie festival, the foreign films all pretty much vanish
Here in Davao City there are many 'outlets' for copies. P50 would be considered much too expensive I've bought a few but generally the quality is so poor there's no enjoyment. My copy was perfect for video and audio.
I still have the DVD file on my laptop. If anyone knows any way to share it ? It's currently around 3GB
Upload times are usually prohibitively long and the penalties for file sharing too high my friend, it'll be on Netflix or the likes soon enough.
I don't know how they manage to make any money selling the copies, between the price of the blanks and the sheer amount of time (=electricity) it takes to burn a disk where is the profit, I ran the numbers on this many years ago and I could not make it worth getting out of bed for
Ahh must charge a little more in Cebu. For 50php you can get 20 films i suppose a few seasons of big bang theory is quite watchable.
i went through a phase of downloading fillums off various pirate sites--mostly american straight in the dustbin crap. must have 100 on my plug in harddrive. mostly unwatched.
These are all perfect DVD duplicates I own them all these are the portable backup I have a lot more that are just recordings from screen.
i downloaded a few from screen recordings---done in a cinema that still allowed smoking. gradually the whole place filled up with smoke--could hardly see the screen. then some fat git stood up in front of the camera and walked out.
Yeah but the cost to them to make them is fixed, it's the burn time plus cost of materials and often fairly expensive inkjet or colour laserjet printed covers, there is hardly any profit, you could make more running a sari-sari store. They must be able to get some incredibly cheap supplies.
I mean a different kind of screen recordings direct off of the Canvas object in either a browser or a Windows app, these are digital recordings at high quality but are not 100% faithful as they are a re-digitisation of a rendered data stream every video card plays back a data stream slightly differently, as a result the computer that was used can be identified so I would never share any of my recordings
A branded blank DVD from somewhere like CD-R King will cost around P11 Just how much it costs to burn a copy ?????? Plus the sleeve graphic ??????? Plus the box ??????? Plus the 'overheads' ????? The standard price here anywhere in Davao city is 3 movies for P100
