I see the frogs are at it now scaremongering now, President Hollande saying there would be consequences if the UK left the EU.

What the hell does it have to do with him?

They cant even control a few immigrants in Calais, what do they know?

It has quite a lot to do with all of our partners in Europe, our leaving will have consequences for the EU too, so naturally they have an interest in an event that is out of their hands but which will affect them and their economy and that of other EU member states.

Britain is the second largest nett contributor to the EU, if we left France and every other country would either have to contribute more or receive less in rebates. Thinking about it, that might have the side benefit of scrapping or severely curtailing the Common Agriculture Policy; French landowners might stop receiving their cheques from Brussels simply for owning land and France's farmers would be forced to modernise and give-up their medieval methods.

If Britain votes to leave, the French have threatened to move the border to British soil and some might object to the South Downs being turned into a refugee encampment enclosed by multiple brightly-lit high wire fences.

Interesting you should mention that in another thread ... Those awfully nice, kind, generous and considerate albeit unelected policy makers in Brussels have decided that, "in the interest of harmonisation", nicotine-replacement aids such as e-cigarettes are to be taxed at the same levels as the tobacco products they're intended to replace. Those 'gentlemen' are also about to tell us what electric kettles we can and can not use, having already banned powerful vacuum cleaners. Making you your morning cup of coffee will soon be a "two ciggie job" whilst K waits for the kettle to boil! :D

As a fellow Blair admirer, you really should go out and buy a copy of Tom Bower's explosive biography, "Broken Vows: Tony Blair — The Tragedy Of Power", wherein you'll find out how Blair "saved" the NHS (not!!!!)

How is removing articles from a personal website airbrushing history? That's an extreme comparison.

More likely he wants to leave his personal opinion out of it. So that the media concentrate on the Tories split.

That might be a credible explanation IF Corbyn were now campaigning alongside his MPs for Britain to remain in the EU. But he isn't!

As far as I can gather, Corbyn has never been in his political life, averse to dispensing his opinions, admittedly, some barmier than others, and his exercise at deleting his speeches condemning the EU is, in my opinion, just another not to subtle way at appearing more of a hypocrite as time goes by.
Please do not read me wrong...
But this guy, like many others in this, once great country, do actually hate the fact of being British.
No national pride at all, shameful behaviour.

Do you equate this in any way to not singing the national anthem, for instance? I don't know how you can sing God Save The Queen if you do not believe in God or the monarchy as an institution.

Corbyn's competence may be questioned but I cannot see how his patriotic standing can be. The problem is, he says something and the media generally spin it. It's the reds under the bed fear which should be left in the 1970s.

There are plenty of barmy Conservative reforms, like on welfare, disability and the savage austerity cuts. Those that have made the rich richer and stigmatised the poor are the ones lacking national pride, even if they wrap themselves up in the Union Jack.

Corbyn can't win with some, no matter what he does.

Europe has historically been the Tories problem, and when the referendum comes about it will be the Conservatives who assume centre stage, probably along with UKIP. Labour should be a very minor player and if Corbyn is trying to encourage that then he is just being a leader and a politician, doing what is best for his party. A very fragmented party! Unlike Johnson et al. Where is the sinister motive in this?

What is he campaigning for? Is he even doing much more than a token effort?

Boris Johnson is about as likely to have been unaware of the contents of an email sent by his Chief of Staff to his senior staff as Maria Sharapova is to have been unaware that she was taking a banned performance enhancing drug.
