As we know TV in the phils is generally quite poor but does anyone know if they ever show any international rugby? I believe some bars do show it but I'm wondering if I'd be able to get it in the house as well?

One thing I've noticed as well is I'm buggered if I can find out what's on and what time its showing.

I suspect that you might be better off searching for internet feeds.

My knowledge is limited, so I will not advise on this one..

Stu try here http://www.clickthecity.com/tv/main.php they are good for cinema listings as well, use the dropdown to select a Cable feed company to get the schedule.

    Sky cable.

Kay has it in Quezon City and had it in Olongapo, she watches the rugger (partly because she fancies the sight of big fit blokes getting muddy in short shorts) so I know you can get it - she also gets Discovery Channel, National Geographic, HBO and BBC. Costs 880 a month iirc. but now she gets it bundled with Internet broadband.

What (rugby) tournament are you wanting, Stu? If it's Six Nations then it will depend if there is anything (American) on at the same time as to whether it will be shown. Rugby World Cup stands a better chance but even that's not 100%. Fox Sports and Star Sports - both owned by Murdoch - are the most likely channels.

Find a cable provider that has ESPN, Star Sports or Fox Sports. We have Cignal cable and we get a few sports channels, some even on HD.

Setanta Sports shows over 500 live rugby games a year. From domestic tournaments in the northern and southern hemisphere to the recent November internationals and Lion's tour it is basically wall-to-wall rugby. Down in Cebu it is available, for an additional fee, only on Sky Cable. I subscribe online because I can only get Cignal, it is a bit dearer ($15) but you get extra on demand features. You also get all the NRL rugby league games and a bit of GAA, well worth the money in my opinion.

Same reason the wife watches it as well, lol.

To be honest anything really but mainly UK domestic (bit od a stretch getting that) to internationals.

Thanks for the info. Just looked and we get "MyCATV Digital" whatever that is? I suspect that its similar to Sky cable. I can get Setanta HD at an additional cost. I will see what it comes out at.
