They said that as a spouse I need to write a letter about history of our relationship., and I make another letter why I'm going to uk .? Is this true? About why your going to uk , what details put in there aside the reason, do I need to state the history of our relationship again? can you tell me what more supporting doc..?
Pls anyone who help me .? Thanks

I have not heard about writing a letter stating why you want to go to the UK being a requirement (always check though as requirements can change). Your sponsors letter of support can state where and how you met, where you have met and travelled together and your plans for the future and so on including why you are coming to the UK, to start a new life together. One letter can cover it all but I know some people have written two letters, a statement of support from the sponsor stating that he will take care of you financially and emotionally and a joint letter with both signatures stating your plans for the future in the UK and what you have done together in your relationship so far.

Just lay it on thick, that's what most of us did here.

Thinking about it rationally the UKVI would be asking a very silly question, why do you want to come to the UK?, because I am here in the Philippines and my husband is it the UK, no brainer really :D

Rationality and logic do not apply to anything remotely Filipino!

Not offended Timmers :) but it really is a silly question and the answer is just spot on! Too bad they wanted more on that question.

I think on that part I answered to visit my bf and to experience the culture of UK. (Something like that ) :)

I think its a reasonable question to ask when applying for a visit visa for the UK but certainly not for a Spouse visa. Maybe the OP has gotten mixed up a little with the different visas although you couldn't put anything past the UKVI.

Absolutely. I submitted our support letter to Mills and Boon with a view to getting it published. They said it was too gushy.

The two letters you submit are the only time that you have a chance to give the case Officer a glimpse into your personalities and thoughts, the rest is just ticked boxes.

We each did a letter for our application. Just basically told our personal story. No idea if it cut any ice yet though - still waiting, and losing faith by the day :(

You should be gaining faith day by day Lisa, you're a day closer to knowing the outcome :)

Yes, duration of wait bears no correlation with the outcome. It is purely down to luck. You ask Juve Rodriguez and Pamalar Fernandez
