So I'm finally starting the visa application - and I'm already slightly confused by the online application process. For starters there doesn't appear to be anything called a spouse visa anymore, only a section 'Apply to Join Family living Permanently in the UK' under the sub-heading 'Settlement, Wife' Secondly, in the sponsor section I am assuming I am the sponsor but in the drop down menu to select the relationship to the sponsor there is no 'spouse' option?? Now I'm not stupid but I am an engineer - this means that when it comes to filling in badly designed forms I'm a bit of a retard with a short attention span! Am I looking at the wrong form completely? Edit...I am of course filling in the form on behalf of my wife....
I understand what you mean now, see the link below; http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...se-fiancee-visa-documents-to-vfs-office.8982/ You have to fill in the form online then submit the VAF4a2 in person.
thanks for that - I presume you filled in the same online form? What about the specific question about the sponsor, should I just select 'other' can you remember what you did?
Give me the question number, I have the completed form in front of me. Remember mine was Fiancée visa, more or less the same.
Its got to be other relative you put there. By the way, the form you are filling in is nothing like mine.
It does say on the opening page that it is a new website so it might well be different, are you still waiting for news on your visa?
We got the visa last week thankfully, she will be here on the 3rd August The form looks pretty good, hope its easy to fill in
The form VAF4A (Personal Details) has essentially the same qquestions as the online form, the sponsor question is Q 7.18 on the VAF4A (Personal Details) form, is that the one you filled in?
I assume you're back in the UK now after your lovely wedding, I wish you well collating all the required documents.
Yeah back in the UK, back at work Collating all the documents won't be a problem - I've done most of it already, just a matter of adding the most current bank statements, payslips etc and then make the application. easy!!
This is what we did, filled in online form then printed it out, then took it along with VAF4a, VAF2 one of the forms is the general stuff, the other is financial and submitted in person.
