    Hi guys,

    I plan to start the spouse visa application for my wife in early February as I would have been working for an agency for 6 months then.

    • I will upload, 6 months of non salaried Payslips
    • 6 months of bank statements
    • Council Tax letter
    • Tenancy Agreement
    • My passport and the stamps showing the time I have been in the Philippines
    • My birth certificate
    • Our marriage certificate
    • Our babies birth certificate
    • copy of our babies Certificate of entitlement
    • Photos of us as a family together in the Philippines
    • Cover letter
    • Tuberculosis and English test certificates
    I live in a two bedroom flat that I share with my friend so we can both save money but he is going to leave in April when I hope my wife will arrive. The tenancy agreement and council tax is in both mine and my friends name currently.

    Do you guys think this should cover everything or have I left anything out?

    any guidance would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Looks good to me , a couple of pointer for you!
    At the end of the application process the system produces a list of mandatory documents to provide make sure you dont miss any out, the rest are supporting documents.
    Make sure your tenancy agreement or that you have a letter from your landlord (on headed paper) authorising your wife and child to live there.
    Good Luck

    Also include a letter from employer confirming:
    -employment and gross annual salary;
    -length of employment/ tenure;
    -period over which you have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
    -type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).

    I am on a zero hour contract working for an agency but I have an assignment email with all that information on it so that should be fine.

    You did not include in your list above so only trying to add what would be required off you. As also mentioned, online form will generate a check list of documents to provide. Good luck.

    Yeah I didn't include it because I didn't want others who are trying to find out what documents they need to think they also need a work assignment document ;-)

    We have now started the Application and my wife has her Biometrics appointment booked for February. Its annoying that when I made the payment for the visa and the NHS surcharge I was charged an additional £100 from my bank because of the world pay US dollars :-( that is something others will need to consider, not sure if there is a cheaper way to pay it?

    Does anyone know anything about the CFO requirement and how long it takes to obtain? apparently my wife needs this to travel out of the Philippines?

    Pandemic changed things. link above should hopefully cover everything. Understand it has now all moved online.

    Supposed to help stop people being trafficked and is a requirement of Philippines government before can leave the country.

    The charge in US dollars is a known rip off. You get charged the foreign office exchange rate which is set to avoid UK government losing money so set a couple of percent above actual exchange rate, your bank adds on another percentage for foreign exchange transaction.

    @Mattecube I believe managed to do in pounds for the NHS element by paying separately as opposed to through the route you are directed through on applying.
