Enlighten me John "what is a Skype Group?" Like a British Filipino Skype call where everyone can join in?
Timmers yes exactly that Im not sure if there is limits to group numbers but Im sure that you can have a group and as you suggest it might be called British Filipino Skype group and you can go online and see if anyone else is online in the group have a good chin wag (hey thats the scouse in me coming out) and help each other with a smile and friendly words,Im sure that it can be done and Im sure there must be an IT expert in amongst us who can give wiser advice on the ins and outs
I was rather hoping to have left Skype behind me since the missus arrived here in the UK Having said that I was using it only last week when I was away on business for a few days, most of us here would not be with our loved ones now if it wasn't for Skype. Its not a bad idea John, people could choose to participate or not, I'm sure it would be of help to some people here, lets see what the other girls and boys think.
how would a group discussion work ? ive used skype a few times--to talk to my partner--when she can get a signal. usually means a trip for her to a town net cafe. hardly ideal lol
But surely a Skype group would be having to look at you lot!!! On the up side you'd all see how lucky my wife is to have me.....ahem
I raised this really as a thought for those of us going through visa processes, sometimes good to see a friendly face also for those about to or have just landed in the uk to make friends and have a friendly cup of coffee to talk through settlement etc sometimes a little can head off alot eg Juby lands here and fancies a natter in the early days then she might be able to have a cuppa and chat with one of the members. just a thought
Its a good and understandable idea John, maybe someone will take you up on it, people can always PM you giving you their Skype addresses.
