Hi help please My husband just move last month for a shared Accommodation double room ensuite. And in a few months we will apply my spouse visa application. My question is Can you please tell me what's the requirements needed to provide just to prove it wont be overcrowded? And my husband 2 kids (3yr old and 5yr old) visit every 2 weeks and spend overnight there. Would that be a problem in applying for spouse visa application or not?
You will need to get a survey done as it needs to be clear to the UKVI that the accommodation is suitable, hopefully one of the other chaps will give you some advice on a appropriate surveyor to use.
I wouldn't mention that the kids stay with you in the application as that would definitely constitute over crowding. Presumably the mother is their main carer so put that they live with her.
You need to find a company similar to the one in the link below, note I have no experience of the company; http://www.propertyinspectionreport.co.uk/
I used this company, and we got our visa just fine. http://www.hussaindesigns.co.uk/immigration-accommodation-reports.php They were very fast, and produced a 3 page A4 report which obviously was fully accepted by UKVI I'm lodging at a friend's house and have my own bedroom and bathroom, and I am not related to anyone else living at the house, but that wasn't an issue as we aren't overcrowded in any way, and the report confirmed this. Their prices vary according to where you are in the UK http://www.hussaindesigns.co.uk/prices.php In my case, we weren't in any of the areas shown on their prices page, but they still came out to my home and did it, and we received the report in about 3 days from when I first contacted them. Because of the extra travelling involved for them, I paid £150 all-in but that is still cheaper than my local authority wanted to charge (£160 and they quoted 2 weeks for the report) Another reason why I chose not to use my local authority is because they state this quite clearly on their form..... "It is unlikely that a property shared with other families will be suitable." In my situation, it wasn't worth the gamble that the local authority would provide a positive report, whereas Hussain Design confirmed over the phone before I appointed them that it was not going to be a problem.
