Sharecode

Hello all.

As per the title, my wife is trying to obtain a sharecode which will enable her to work while waiting for her visa here in UK.
She has tried to do this on the GOV.UK website, but each time she puts in her correct details it comes up with:
'The details entered don't match our records'. Has anyone here experienced this and if so, what is the solution please?

Did you check she can access her UKVI Account first?

Yes, that’s the only way you can access for share code, but it always gives the same message.

Well if you have a working UKVI Account I dunno - perhaps someone else here can help you.

We phoned the HO this morning and they said the Employer/ Letting agency have to phone them and ask for the share code, quoting my wife’s application number.
I guess it’s done this way to check everything is genuine?

My experience is slightly different, but I know we can only get a Share Code when we have a Biometric Residence Permit. Without that, you need to get a Unique Access Code from UKVI (Application Number) and the employer can run the Employment Checking Service.
