A. Weekly net in this case will be whatever benefit the sponsor receives plus cash savings she mentioned previously, I believe cash savings in this instance will be every £ (not after £16k), I also believe that in a Fiancee visa application the Savings will need to be divided by 26 weeks (the length of Fiancee visa) to give a WEEKLY amount.

B. Housing costs will be, Rent, Council Tax, Mortgage payments, there is NO mention of Bills which will be impossible to estimate as they are not living in property as yet. remember these costs will need to be divided by 52 to give the WEEKLY figure, and an important point to remember Documentation will have to be provided to support the figures otherwise the application will likely be refused, having NO documentation for estimates would likely not help the application.

If A minus B are greater or equal to C then you are good to go...

Remember – only deduct the weekly housing costs – personal debt should not be considered in the calculation.

That’s correct – and it is a relatively low threshold to satisfy the adequate maintenance requirement for fiancé visas.

This is because of paragraph 12B(b) of Appendix FM-SE, which states that the total cash savings that meet the requirements of paragraphs 11 and 11A of Appendix FM-SE is to be divided by “the number of weeks of limited leave which would be issued if the application were granted”.

As stated by D-ECP.1.1. of Appendix FM, fiancé(e) and proposed civil partners are “granted entry clearance for a period not exceeding 6 months”.

Six months is 26 weeks.

This is where I have read the above and I would be far happier if another forum member could read and verify what I have written.. thanks.

I notice the member has said that if they include Utility Bills, Food, Travel, Phone expenses then they won't be able to meet the AMR , however Migrate state not to include personal debt but then make no mention of personal expenses, sorry I can't be more helpful..

I agree with what @Heathen has said...

I don't recall 'savings' ever being part of the calculation - for one reason, Income-related benefits are adversely affected by any savings over £6k... at least, that's the case for Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (I-RESA). I don't know the rules for Universal Credit?
Bit of a joke really, when you consider the fees/costs for the various Visas over a 5-year+ period from Fiancé(e) Visa, to ILR and BC!
