What are the best transfer vehicles that you can use? Least expensive with best exchange rates. Converting Filipino pesos to £?

This question has been asked before, I think the consensus was that there are not a lot of mechanisms by which this can be achieved.

I am sure I read somewhere about sending money to a paypal account via an email address and from there moved to a bank account.
I don't remember the details, so an extensive search is advisable.
I did send money in the past via paypal to a person's email address

Realistically Larry the only practical way is through the Wire Transfer services offered by Philippine banks, you could send via Western Union at ruinous exchange rates or you could try to find if your wife's bank over there provide a wire transfer service, you will need the IBAN of the receiving bank in the UK.

All the other services I know of are geared towards inward remittance to the Philippines.

I use WorldRemit to send money to my relatives monthly! :) Wherever I am and used it in the past when I am in the Philippines to send money to my children in the U.K. too!
