This is it... my days in Philippines are over.. I enjoyed Manila, every place we went to.. Unfortunately I ended up with throat infection cause of aircon everywhere. I don't regret every moment of being there.. Now we are getting all the information and documents that are required for marriage in Philippines.
It looks like I need many documents to get married in Philippines... I need your help I found some of them http://www.therese.ph/weddings.html but not sure if I need more documents.
You want to get married in the Philippines? All I brought were 3 documents. My Birth Certificate, Passport and Certificate of No Impediment (CNI - which I obtained from my local registrar). The UK embassy in Manila provided me with a Filipino Cenomar in exchange for the CNI (though they also wanted to see my passport, birth certificate, my wife's CENOMAR and ID - we also had her birth certificate as well, which will be needed later).
How nice... I came back from Philippines in one piece and now keep on going to pharmacy.. hmmm Yes, we want to get married in Philippines, in church.. I know that I need baptismal, my parents' marriage certificates and CENOMAR from my country (Poland).. Anything else to be able to get married in church (apart from what Kuya has posted above)? I call embassy here in the UK whether they can provide CENOMAR. I cant be asked to travel to Poland just for a certificate but I will if have to.. My family will provide rest of documents....
A CENOMAR is a Philippine document not a European document the point is you have to get your countries version of a CErtificate of No MARriage (CENOMAR). I'm Catholic, my parents are dead, chances of getting a baptismal certificate is tiny, I have a lot of old documents but I must say that a baptismal is not one that I have found, it will exist somewhere though. My young friend who works over there and is not Catholic got married in a Catholic Church two years ago he spent over three years there before he married his girlfriend, a very nice lassie My point is he is unlikely to have met those requirements, but he still got married in a Church.
All I took was birth cert, CNI from uk which was exchanged for philippines at the brit embassey in Manila and something else that I cant remember unfortunately. We got married in a catholic church no problems (I'm atheiest).
