    hello.

we are planning to go to Amsterdam for a day out soon. the P&O ferries have a promo on 2-for-1 tickets, so we thought of taking advantage of that. thankfully the consulate is just an hour away from me.

my question is - in the list of requirements is hotel bookings, we wont be staying overnight in amsterdam, as the mini cruise is just 2 nights in the ferry and a day out in amsterdam. would the ferry booking be sufficient for the application or is it really necessary to have hotel bookings as well?

    thanks a lot!

As I can make out from the link included, there would be no need to have a hotel booking, as in this case, the ferry will be your hotel base.
And if the tickets do confirm onboard accomodation, then it should be ok.

As you have to get info from the Dutch Consulate anyway, try asking, for us here, if this stuff I dug out is still current.
I don't seem able to find much else at the moment.:erm:

Guys, a question which I hope someone can answer (thru actual experience).

Earlier this year Mrs BBJ & I travelled to Paris after (easily) obtaining a multiple entry visa from the French Embassy.

Later in the year, we were thinking of going to Spain..... but because we originally obtained the visa from the French Embassy, OFFICIALLY France should be your actual point of entry into the Schengen area, and should be the main bulk of your holiday/travels etc.

So, rather than risk some officious Immigration Officer at Barcelona airport implementing this strange ruling, we instead flew into Southern France (all fine & dandy), and some 12 days later flew back from Gerona (all without any problems).

Now my work requires me to travel in Europe a lot more, and I wish to take Mrs BBJ occassionally.
However, as it will be differing countries, I'm not keen on getting numerous single entry visas from differing Embassies (all time consuming & costly if VFS is the "agent").

    So... the question.....

Have any on here obtained a multiple entry Schengen Visa (eg France), and then used it at a later date to go directly to another Schengen country (eg Italy)?
If so, were questions asked..... were you denied entry.... were there problems ?????

Answers on a postcard to the usual address

    Thks

How the heck have I missed this post...???

    Sorry BBJ, really apologetic here.

It should be possible to obtain a multiple entry visa.
