Sausages

    If you're looking for something that approximates a British banger try Vigan longanisa. Most longanisa seem to be too sugary and doped with dye. Vigan longanisa are not sweet, don't appear to be dyed and while they shrink dramatically when fried they do go nicely with eggs for breakfast.

    They are a better choice than the yellow sludge in plastic tubing commonly called hotdogs and frankly, better than most of the deli sausages claiming to be bangers.
