Just noticed this section of the forum so figured I'd post up a few reviews of the places I stayed in the Philippines last year.

Firstly we have the Royal Bellagio Hotel in Makati City.
This hotel is attached to 'The Filling Station' bar and cafe which is a 50s+ themed diner with reasonable priced food and drink.
There is no bar within the hotel itself that I am aware of, but we had a beer in the lounge of the 1898 hotel at the end of the street and they were happy for us to do so despite not being guests.
Beds are comfortable and room size is adequate for two, all usual room facilities and no issues during our stay.

Only negatives to report is the 2000 peso 'room deposit' which was not specified at time of booking and meant my partner wasn't able to check in prior to my late night arrival, they also questioned her ID and if I was happy for her to accompany me to my room until I pointed out she was also named on the booking, I'm guessing this is because the location (directly on the strip) means there are many tourists who will pick up some of the working girls from outside.

Other than that misunderstanding it was an uneventful but adequate stay, would happily book it again.
