Mother left the Philippines to help her sister in the USA look after her sisters daughters youngsters and for what ever reasons across the years and the immigration processes unable to leave so stayed! The passage of time has probably clouded reasons Now on her way to getting American citizenship at the age of 84.
It's a story shared by many and a sad one, but I am very happy for your wife and her mum that they are finally together again.
