Four brothers from Tacloban who've only quite recently appeared on the music scene and have already toured the UK.
The Beatles hated Manila and the Philippines, a direct result of their personal experience of the place, shame really, everyone I know over there loves them to bits to this day. Ricardo my friend (and if Ana and I ever sort things out) my possible future brother in law absolutely loves the Beatles and is pretty good at playing a lot of their stuff but nowhere near as good as these lads. Thanks Mark really enjoyed this vid.
I meant to add that the Philippines is well endowed with very good musicians, with a lot of very good native song writing talent as well. We have all seen a lot of the bands that do cover work over there and they do that exceptionally well, as a tribute band though these lads are excellent.
I thought they were just miming at first because they are so good! That enormous crowd are certainly enjoying it! I wonder what Imelda Marcos would make of it now? Did not know, oss, that Filipinos love the Beatles, I thought they liked acts, such as the Carpenters! When I was in the Philippines in 2009 for Xmas we had a street party with karoke. I don't remember Beatles songs being sung and when I sang a Monkees song (Daydream Believer) no-one had heard of it. I felt a bit embarrassed when the Karaoke machine gave me 100% for my singing, as I know I cannot sing!!
