Hi peeps. My Fiancee has put the application in for a Fiancee visa a few weeks ago , but now UK has put the Philippines in the red zone. Just double checking the implications of this; she can't come to the UK when she gets the visa if Philippines still in the 'red zone' ? We will have to wait until UK takes it out of the red zone, correct ? Thanks.
So far as i understand the red zone countries travel is banned except for UK residents who will have to quarantine for 10 days in designated Hotels for a small fee , plus i believe covid tests on days 2 and 8. So yes i believe you may have to wait until such time that the Philippines is taken out of the red zone, but i would seek clarification from UKBA or a reputable Travel agent.
Worth checking if fiance visa meets requirement of you have residence rights in the UK , something I'm not sure on although feels like it should as first step in settlement visa process. Failing that you could try and find somewhere in between that isn't on red list and which can travel to and stay for more than 10 days. Feels very risky doing this even if could be done. Apart from those I think have to wait until off red list https://www.gov.uk/guidance/transport-measures-to-protect-the-uk-from-variant-strains-of-covid-19 Red list travel ban countries If you have been in or through any of the countries listed below in the previous 10 days, you will be refused entry to the UK. If you are a British or Irish National, or you have residence rights in the UK, you will be able to enter. You must quarantine in a government approved hotel for 10 days.
Philippines (will be added to the list 4am Friday 9 April) https://www.gov.uk/guidance/transpo...ins-of-covid-19#red-list-travel-ban-countries
Ignore my earlier reply, have a look at this as it seems your wife could travel if she complys with regulations. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/booking...t-you-need-to-do-before-you-arrive-in-england https://www.gov.uk/guidance/booking-and-staying-in-a-quarantine-hotel-when-you-arrive-in-england
Just to let readers know wife had standard appointment at enhanced Sopra Steria on 17/04/21 for FLR BRP card arrived today just over 2 weeks excellent service, thnx to mattecube for all the help.
what is that mattecube is it to get a stamp in the passport? She did one in the Phils a few years ago.
The CFO I think derived from Certificate Filipino Overseas. There are various seminars for Filipinos going to live or work abroad she will have to do the spouse one . You can book it online lasts a couple of hours it's not a test she will get her passport stamped no stamp no fly. Many see it as a waste of time I don't mainly because it's the only time in the process the applicant is seen and it's the Philippines checking that the applicant isn't being trafficked etch. Good Luck and Google Philippines CFO
Thanks,we are not married yet but she has been granted the visa,it comes into effect on the 15th .Our wedding is booked for July so with a bit of luck she might make it.
Big mac no not priority, standard application, Mattecube my wife did the spouse one in Phils before coming to U/K, are you saying she needs to do another one here to prove where she is ?
Apologies with you posting on this thread I thought your wife was still in the Philippines. No need to do one if she is not in the Philippines
